    First my deepest sympathy goes out to all of those affected by Hurricane Harvey

    The "NOAA's GOES Satellite" monitored Hurricane Harvey in many ways. As you guys know, I tend to study lightning in my spare time and NOAA produced a fascinating piece of data on this hurricane. The more we understand about severe weather of all types the better.

    Below is time lapse video of the lightning that occurred across this entire hurricane.

    It is an interesting pattern that occurs.
