Anything Metallica, occasionally NYC Underground Vol 2-4, and when I fail to notice the last thing in Winamp, the soundtrack to Kim Possible.

No music. Never. Negative. No way. Nunca. Ne Pas.

I turn off the in-game music too. I use my surround sound to follow all the action on with my ears. When I see a friendly has been killed by a certain weapon, I follow my ears to the location I heard that weapon firing and eliminate the perpitrator. This is exceptionally useful in finding stealthers. I follow the noise of all handguns, especially NC and TR models.

This is one major reason I don't often load up the teamspeak software to speak with you guys. I am very distracted by all of the additional sound. Because of this, I am setting up a second computer for teamspeak so I can run the voice through smaller speakers or headphones and keep the PS sounds separate on my surround system.

When I did it was Slayer, Zombie, StaticX, and Mad Capsule Market. Now I play Like Crazytrain, nothing but the beautiful sounds of war.

I just have the music down really low, so that the only time you can really hear it is when you aren't doing any fighting.

    Only the sounds of war...

It really does help finding your foes, plus my comp can't do anything else :(

I keep the music off, makes it easier to hear whats going on, on ventrilo as well as ingame.

With Dolby Surround, the game just drips atmosphere...

Now if only I could turn my graphics up... :(

    Dvidd,

You use the Dolby Surround option?

What sound card do you have?

What speaker configuration do you have?

I currently have an Audigy with 4.1 speakers and I am using EAX 3.0 as my sound option. It works alright, but there isn't as much in the rear channels as I would like. I have environmental audio turned off for stability.
